Shelby County Programs

Human Services, Inc. Shelby County Outreach office administers the following programs to income eligible residents living in Shelby County.

Energy Assistance Program (EAP)
Section 8 Housing Voucher Program
Food Pantry (TEFAP)
Weatherization (WX)
Emergency Food & Shelter Program (EFSP)

Pearson Place Apartments – Thirty Five apartments units ranging from efficiency to two bedroom units for senior/disabled individuals. 

Food Pantry is available to all residents that are income qualified. The food pantry is opened Monday-Thursday from 9:00am to 11:30pm 

Applicant’s must provide proof of income, household size and location, and proof of need in order to receive any of the below mentioned program services. 

 Appointments taken from 8:00 – 5:00 Monday thru Friday 

NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY!  As families balance food and housing, it is sometimes hard to have the basic needs of a person taken care of.  Because it is difficult to balance the cost of basic needs of a person.

Diaper assistance provides one dozen diapers per month. (Where available)
